WANDER WEST

Cactus Care

WATER
Your cactus can be watered once every 1-2 weeks during the Spring/Summer, and about once a month in the Fall/Winter.  Always check that the soil is dry before watering again.  Cacti are susceptible to root rot and prefer to thoroughly dry out in-between waterings.  Since the planters do not have drainage holes, we add a thick layer of pebbles to the bottom.  However, it is important not to pour so much water that the cactus is sitting in a pool of water.  Pour the water on the soil, never directly on the cactus pads.

LIGHT
Place your cactus in a location where it will receive as much sunlight as possible.  By a South or West facing window is ideal, or anywhere that it will receive several hours of direct sunlight.

SOIL
All our cacti are planted in our handmade WANDER WEST soil.  We add sand, perlite, and pebbles to the soil for better drainage.  To help with overall health and growth, we recommended fertilizing your cactus during the active growing season (Spring/Summer).
